Integrated into the innovative STLA Frame platform, two electric drive modules (EDMs,) a 92-kWh battery pack, and a 130-kW generator power the pickup truck. The setup cranks out 663 hp and 615 lb-ft of instant electric torque, giving the Ram 1500 Ramcharger a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds and abundant muscle to handle serious trailering. The electric truck tows a class-leading 14,000 lbs and offers a class-leading max payload capacity of 2,625 lbs.
V6 Range-Extender
The Ram 1500 Ramcharger features a 3.6L Pentastar V6 onboard that functions as a range extender, replenishing its driving range on the go. It works by generating mechanical energy, which is then converted to electric energy by the 130-kW generator to recharge the battery. Electric energy from the generator can also be sent directly to the high-voltage bus. This enables the EDMs to use the power for additional muscle when handling a large payload.
Remarkable Driving Range
You can drive a class-shattering 690 miles with a fully charged battery and a full tank of gas. This places the Ram 1500 Ramcharger among the only electric trucks capable of completing a long haul without stopping to recharge. Liquid charging keeps the battery from overheating, giving the truck steady performance until the very end of its driving range.
Bidirectional Charging
The pickup truck comes equipped with AC and DC charging ports, allowing drivers to charge it by connecting it to a public charger. You can locate the nearest compatible charger, initiate a charging session, and keep track of your charging history using the Free2move Charge app. Plugging the Ram 1500 Ramcharger into a DC fast charger replenishes the driving range at a rate of 5 miles per minute, putting you back on the road in a flash.
Alternatively, you can charge the Ram 1500 Ramcharger at home. A wired-in home charger also allows the pickup truck’s bidirectional charging capabilities to be harnessed. If the grid goes down, the pickup truck’s generator and battery can power your home for up to 30 days.
